Our Featured Pet...
My name is Mark Spitz I got my name because I came in to CAMP from the flooding during the May storms. I am the sole survivor of my family. The rescue named me after the Olympic swimmer because I was found swimming for my life. I am now almost 7 weeks old and 1 ½ lbs. The only thing is that I have a bad eye and the rescue wants to have it fixed before I can go to a new home so I am in a Foster home until the Vets say I am old enough for the operation.
From CAMP Mark Spitz is a real fighter he has come a long way. When he came to us he was 4 weeks old with a severe upper respiratory infection and was not looking to good the only thing he had going for him was he wanted to eat. He couldnt not see or smell anything but he wanted to eat. We took him into the vets and found that his one eye was fused closed and non-functional the best thing for him is to have it removed, but he is too small. So we have to wait He is in Foster care and growing learning to be a cat he first thought he was a dog, wagging his tail all the time. The infections are healing and he is thriving, playing, playing with other cats, and children. Learning what love is. We are now in the process of raising money to pay for the operation that he will need to remove his eye. If anyone would like to help please call us and we can tell you how. We are in the middle of getting an account set for this. Thank you for all your help
